The buildouts on the final few holes where the matches are decided is truly immense. I really do hope they have room for the average ticket holder to see the conclusion of matches when it comes to the end...

Love KVV but I think there's a little recency bias here with ZJ-- not sure how you can possibly keep Watson's tenure at Gleneagles out of the basement.

What are your thoughts on how to attribute design? Our recent FEGC MN trip had some with muddled answers. For instance WBYC states in a whisper that they're Watson, not Ross. Watson was 1st at Interlachen but it had a total redesign by Ross according to map in clubhouse. Somerset was a Raynor and then apparently overhauled by Thompson, then several others before having some Duncan restoration. Should all be listed? 1st and most recent? The router? Combination? Does it matter? 😅 I feel like everytime I post something anymore someone has to point out credits.

Great article, as always from the Big J Journalist. One fact stood out - it's wild that an American team has not won in Europe since I was 10 years old!

Great breakdown and recommendations! Get up there every year for at least a round or two. Side ones. I agree, Sandbox afternoons are tough now. Mornings are great warm up though, empty and if you play ace, birdie or pickup you fly. Andy is dead on about the lakes. Take a dip after rounds or between rounds. They are usually cool and very refreshing. They joked about Wisc Dells at the end but it has a few hits. Ishnala Supper Club is 10/10. Devils Lake is a fantastic hiking spot. Paul Bunyans Cook Shanty for breakfast or even just a dozen sugar donuts is 🤤. Wild Rock is a good golf option and 12North par 3 was fun at Trappers (forget regular Trappers). If you do fly to Madison check out Glen Golf Park. Keiser invested 9 hole muni that was shaped by the best in the biz while they were doing SV courses. Lastly. They have great winter events. Took my wife to a Wim Hof wellness retreat and now she understands why I love to come up here so often.

Great read, Joseph! Love the more in-depth data look into the event. Very interesting to see how the team skill dynamics have narrowed closer and closer since 2018. Would be interesting to see this from a visual perspective, like a histogram or box and whisker plot. The curves have likely gotten closer, but I wonder if the spreads amongst team are different?

If the US needs money to be motivated to play, they are not going to beat the side that doesn't.
