Fantastic -- glad you got to play it; it's an amazing course. I'm in the same handicap boat and had a similar experience -- so much fun to use the putter from, well, just about anywhere. Also managed to get a decent tee shot off of the first and clear the bern, had a nice enough approach on 18 to get applause from a few people standing on the road...and then three putted, lol. All the caddies we had at St. Andrew's were phenomenal. Funny, nice, and incredible course knowledge. We stayed a week in St. Andrew's and played several courses in Fife; we could easily have stayed a month. Out of this world golf, the good was shockingly good, and a postcard-perfect town.

I knew very little going into my visit too. Truly blown away by the size of the features. Schneider's work really makes this place shine

Did not really know anything about Tamarack before reading this profile. Not sure why because it looks unreal. Even in the photos you can tell how big some of the features are.
